What is your primary product or service?
Equine Insurance
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
In 1978 I was employed as the administrative assistant to the owner of an Equine Insurance Agency also in Louisville. After his retirement, I began my own Equine Insurance Agency through the many contacts I had made and experience I had gained from my involvement in equine insurance.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Service! Many equine insurance companies offer the same rates so we strive to service our clients and have built our business on referrals from our existing clients who have been satisfied with our company and time we have spent helping them make decisions about their equine insurance needs.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Only one location and no we do not plan to expand
What type of payments do you accept?
Check, credit cards
Which areas do you service?
Our business services an equine community worldwide
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Beverly Smith-Embry
What are your hours of operation?
8AM-5PM, but Beverly is usually in the office until 7PM to service our west coast clients
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Beverly recently received a special award from one of her clients acknowledging her as an Ambassador for her many years of service to their equine insurance needs and those of their clients worldwide and for her support of their horse breeding business.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
A note from my mentor and the man responsible for me going out on my own and starting my own business. "Do all the good you can, By all the means you can, In all the ways you can, In all the places you can, At all the times you can, To all the people you can, For as long as you can. My friend and client who ran many very successful businesses died a couple of years ago. I have his handwritten note on the wall by my desk and look at it often.
