How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Julie Schweitzer is the Executive Director and has been actively involved in the development of the regional arts community for over 30 years. She enjoys seeking new challenges, developing, implementing and building cross institutional relationships. She has cultivated an excellent working relationship with local, regional, national and international arts programs and media. These relationships have enabled the creation of innovative programming, international recognition and the advancement of the regional arts community.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The mission of the Arts Council of Southern Indiana is to engage our community through the arts, play a role in ensuring that the arts enrich our lives, offer collaboration, encouragement and support to our cultural and artistic community, and make certain that the arts are integrated into our educational, social and economic life.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
One permanent location at 820 east market in New Albany Indiana. We also offer a "Art on the Road " exhibit and event program where we bring art to you. One of our most popular programs for businesses is our corporate collection program. We will assist you business in developing, purchasing and installing work by regional artists in your place of business.

From Louisville: Take the Sherman Minton bridge(64 west), Take the first exit once to cross the river. Turn right - go two blocks to market street - turn left. Follow market to 820 east market.We are located on the Corner of ninth and Market in the historic district of New Albany, Indiana.
