How long have you been in business?
We will be celebrating 10 years in this business in 2014.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary products are tea party hats and gloves, for toddlers, girls, and ladies.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My daughters and I loved going to tea rooms and thought it would be a great business to be in. A reality check was provided when we remembered the long hours involved when we owned a restaurant many years ago. We then decided just to sell the lovely products found in tea rooms.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our most popular products are custom designed tea party hats for both ladies and younger girls. Very rarely do we create more than one of any style so customers know that their hat is an original design. In addition, Garden Party Teas is price conscious, offering most hats well below $50 and most in the $10 to $30 range. We also offer hat bases and hat decorating accessories and encourage customers to "do it yourself".
